LODGING:
We use
upscale hotels
chosen because of the comfort and convenience of location. Generally,
we have stayed in each hotel we use, and it is always a pleasure to
return to familiar hostelries where we are known by the staff.
GROUP
SIZE:
To insure smooth
travel, we prefer groups of ten to twelve persons.
ITINERARIES
Our trips encompass a broad range of interests such as food and wine, classical music and opera, historical sightseeing, cooking, skiing, community service, New York City and more.
DAILY SCHEDULES:
We have a daily schedule that allows us to be back at our hotel in time to enjoy a relaxing evening at a restaurant or cultural performance. At times there have been travelers who on their own prefer to explore a restaurant, museum or site of particular interest, and we are glad to offer assistance in these pursuits.
TRANSPORTATION:
For longer connections, we use first-class rail transportation and chauffeured buses. Taxis, the metro or S-Bahn are our preferred city transportation. Of course, travel involves a certain amount of walking, but we do not schedule any activities that demand excessive walking.
COSTS:
With the unstable world economy, it is difficult to establish precise costs at this early date, but we will be glad to present an approximate cost to inquiries about particular trips.
COST INCLUSIONS:
The price for most trips includes all lodging and breakfasts, first and last night dinners, guides for arranged programs, pre-trip newsletters and announced evening programs (restaurant, concert or film), hotel gratuities and transportation in Europe, including airport and train connections.
COST EXCLUSIONS:
Airfare, personal expenses, alcoholic beverages, and excursions, lunches and dinners not included in the announced costs.
GUIDES:
Whereas we have knowledge of many of the places we visit, we use local guides whose commentary contains a balance of facts, style, enthusiasm and humor.
TRIP INSURANCE:
We highly recommend it. You may contact your local travel agent who can make suggestions about the various policies that will cover your concerns.
HEALTH ISSUES:
As tour leaders, we prefer to be apprised of any health issues travelers may have.
SINGLE SUPPLEMENT:
There will be a hotel single supplement charged to those traveling alone.
GROWN CHILDREN TOO?
Of course!

START AND CONCLUSION OF EACH TRIP:
To insure a smooth beginning to each trip, we encourage travelers to arrive a day early in the city where each trip starts. We will make every effort to pick up and deliver travelers to hotels, train stations or airports prior to and after each trip.
ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OPERA/MUSIC, RESTAURANTS, SHOPPING, SCENIC BEAUTY AND ELEGANT HOTELS?
Yes.
